The governing body at Holy Cross VI Form College
The Background: Rated outstanding in all areas by Ofsted in 2007 and ranked in the DfES top ten colleges for the third year running, Holy Cross has a reputation for academic excellence and student support.
The Challenge: Faced with significant changes in the local and national landscape, the governors were keen to recruit an outstanding principal who would work with the leadership team to develop a vision for building on the college’s successes and to take advantage of the opportunities ahead.
The Solution: The Navigate team worked closely with college governors throughout the recruitment process to develop a tailored package of support including a national media campaign, bespoke website, highly focused search and design and facilitation of assessment centre.
The Result: Successful appointment of a highly experienced and outstanding candidate.
Testimonial: 'My experience as a candidate was entirely positive. A real sense of professionalism and expertise was accompanied by an ability to think creatively and deliver a thorough and challenging recruitment process. I felt encouraged at every point to engage seriously with what I am sure will prove a most interesting and worthwhile challenge.’
