A co-ordinated approach
North East Lincolnshire Council
The background: With an increasingly challenging recruitment market in children’s services, local authorities are discovering that finding the right professionals can be a demanding and time consuming process.
The challenge: After a number of unsuccessful recruitment campaigns, North East Lincolnshire Council turned to Navigate to develop and deliver a cohesive, targeted process to bring the best children’s services professionals to Grimsby.
The solution: With a co-ordinated advertising, online and active headhunting campaign, we generated a long list of suitable candidates and led a final panel process that delivered successful appointments to all posts. Market feedback from the recruitment campaign was also used by North East Lincolnshire to reorganise a number of portfolios in order to ensure that the right talent was targeted where it was needed most.
The result: Appointments were made to four Children’s Services Advisor roles and a further Head of Special Education Needs and Inclusion role.
