Veena combines strategic understanding (she has a Masters in Public Policy) with practical knowledge – she is a school governor with hands on experience of life at the sharp end of the education system.

Like many of our founders, Veena joined Navigate from Tribal plc, determined to chart a new course towards improving public sector performance, especially in schools and children’s service. She believes Navigate has a part to play in helping organisations widening opportunity and broadening horizons for young people.

Her own career began in local government where she has worked at county, metropolitan and district levels.  She also spent four years with the BBC focusing on the Corporation’s management development activities, developing and delivering a range of talent initiatives, as well as focusing on specific programmes designed to enhance diversity across the organisation.

Veena has worked extensively with local authorities, especially in the education field, to support top team recruitment. She has considerable experience of designing and running assessment and development centres for leadership programmes and appointments.
