School to school support
Navigate is currently working with several schools and local authorities to broker school to school support in primary, secondary and special schools across the Yorkshire and Humber region.
This ranges from providing subject specific support, in particular in English and maths to helping school middle leaders develop their leadership skills and capacity and supporting senior leadership teams.
As broker, Navigate is responsible for:
- understanding the needs, context and anticipated outcomes of the school that is seeking support;
- ensuring that the brief for the potential support school is clear;
- finding the right match between schools;
- facilitating the initial introduction between schools;
- managing the contracting arrangements;
- ensuring that appropriate quality assurance processes are put in place; and
- supporting both schools to ensure that the partnership is effective as possible and leads to positive outcomes.
We are committed to working with support schools who appreciate the sensitivities of providing school to school support and appreciate the potential of this arrangement for professional development of their own staff and recognise that this is a two way learning process.
We are always on the look out for schools that may be interested in joining Navigate’s network of support schools and helping schools that are looking for support either at whole school or subject level.
