DfE Publishes Standard For Teachers’ Professional Development

The DfE has recently published the standard for teachers’ professional development: a timely reminder of the importance of the effective management of CPD in schools.  NfER/NGA’s publication on the role of the executive headteacher includes some interesting analyses of the way in which the role is diversifying and makes recommendations both for the DfE and governors about the need for more clarity about the role. Teach First’s interesting analysis of the characteristics of high performing schools is also worthy of consideration.
